I don't know anything about jackplates, although I have heard Land & Sea is real good stuff. If everything works, it looks like you'll have a good one there SSweet.

i have to be honest with you... im still on the fence about this. It definately needs service so IF I was going to sell it I wouldnt want you to think its mint or in perfect condition. I still myself dont know the extent of the service it requires.. I suspect new seals. The motor appears to be working fine though.
Ive never had it on my boat but if it goes on it will be for my 2.4...
What Im saying is that I dont want to take your 200 bucks if its gonna take stupid money to service it. If I do let it go, you will be the one to get it as you were the first to show honest interest and I will be telling you exactly what it needs.

Thanks denny

Your welcome SSweet. If you get it, I interested to see how the 14 sets with the motor back another four or five inches.

I know for a fact that a 14 responds very well to set back... a working jack would make it even better.

Thanks for the honesty sidewinder. I know that it isnt perfect, and that it might need seals and what not. I know there was that risk.

Good to know, SRC. Hey SSweet, Set that jonnyrude up for low water pick up, with a surface piercing prop and you'll be the baddest out . We'll all be chasing you.

Hey denny, what do you think im trying to do??? LOL. Hey winder, does the ram move at all, or are the seals that bad?

It operates on the bench... (up and down) I just dont know if it operates with a 400lb load on it yet... and I just cant "hook it up"... 1. I dont have the facility / equipment to lift the motor off and... 2. The boat is still in storage.

No i didnt mean hook it up on ur boat LOL just if it worked on the bench and didnt leak. And u say it works, but yes, who knows how well with a load.

lol... gotcha, yeah, If I turn it upside down it leaks... that tells me it needs a top seal. No leak what so ever in the upright position.
Im trying to find a decent hydraulics shop close to me or even get the guys on FBC to help me out.

No problem SSweet, keep that boat right side up and it'll never leak.
what ya think. LOL
