Re: everyone add 1 best pic of your sidewinder
I finally got a pic of the SS in motion!! I was out on a run with about 12 other boats with Fast Boats Canada yesterday. What a day, great weather, great buddies, great boats to run with!! We did a total of about 95 miles, most of it near 60 mph, and I burnt up 45 gallons of gas. Wow, 2 mpg.

Depends on how many 6 gallon tanks you bring along...

Re: everyone add 1 best pic of your sidewinder
Yeah, 45 Imperial gallons!! A 20 gallon tank, I took that full, added 2 five gallon jerry cans, and filled the tank again at a marina. At the end of the day, I had 1/4 tank left. So, 20 + 10 + (3/4 X 20 = 15) equals 45 gallons. Trouble was most of the other boats cruise at 60 mph plus, so I was wide open pretty much all of the time. We had a couple of boats that run into the 100's there, most of them were 80 mph + boats.
Great day on the water. Conditions were just perfect, and seeing that many boats running together was awesome.
Here's a few more pics of the day

Re: everyone add 1 best pic of your sidewinder
I got another shot of the SS running wide open. It does air out now, and it's pretty easy to drive with the jackplate on it. Getting the lower unit out of the water makes a big difference.
Notice the sunburnt head. Damn, I miss my hair at times like that.

He just redid it already. And added a bimini. I'm sure he will chime in with some new photos.
