I'm going to try finding a rig for dual steering, its not a huge thing but I'd like to give it a try.
My brother is the one that wants to try a reserve tank, I like the bow tank. The little ones seem to want the bow up, and it does seems to run better when the tank is low on fuel. Really hard to balance though.

The guy at Toth seems like a pretty solid dude.
I'd reccomend him to anyone with a fiberglass hull.
He wouldnt paint it for me though, I think he was too busy.

I gotta get it out one last time this year

Stony is a great lake, you must be loaded though. Crazy expencive cottages up there man.

Next year I'll try and get out to rice lake.
I've only run the 16's, so I don't know about how the 14's like to be set up. I just find the lo-pro really likes the bow tank. Runs a solid 50 mph, but the motor is a 1980 115, so it's only putting out about 90 hp at the prop. I am thinking of getting a 91 115 that I have bored and ported, get it up to about 150 hp. She should fly then.

As to being loaded, not by a long shot. The place cost $1,100 originally, but mind you that was in 1958. Started out as a 20 X 20 cabin. Been added on to over the years, when my Dad retired, my parents sold the house in Toronto, and moved there. They're gone now, and it's mine and my sister's, but she rarely goes there. I'm there pretty much every wekend, year round.

I winterized the lo-pro this weekend, the SS will stay in until the ice starts. This is the best time of year to run, the idiots on the seadoos are gone, the kayaks are gone, just the occasional fisherman out there.

The only reason I went to dual cable steering, is that I had about a 1/4 turn of play in the old single cable. That, plus safety. I run single on the lo-pro, no problem there, but the SS has a 150 on it, and can really get to chine walking at about 60.

Mazinaw??? What brings you out that way? Im on Skoot across the street.
Dont run into too many people out that way.
f your motor is an '89 then someone put an '84ish cowling on it. The brown was mid 80's.... just saying.
I truly mis my 14... Wish i kept it longer and experimented with setup on it more.... even re-power would of been cool too.
Motor mounts, stainless prop will all be a plus to your setup.
Nose cone will do more bad than good... unless your seeing speeds of 80mph plus, the physics just dont make sense... i lost speed when I put a CLE on my 200... I know its a catch 22 as you want the LWP option as did I but it will probably slow you down.
Get a good tach and water pressure gauge. Raise the motor and watch your water pressure.

Chris...what about running a transom mount pickup? I'm thinking of doing that on my lo-pro.

I'd try and find like a 22P and go from there.

I ran a 22" on my 115. Had a bit of cupping added, to give it some more bow lift.

Mines a 16 and has a 115 Johnson, How does one tell the difference between the SS and low pro? I have pix posted somewhere.

The Low Pro has a flat deck and the SS has a windshield with the frame supporting it on the hull.
