Default Looking for outboard motor stand plans for v6

looking to take my motor off my boat and i need a stand would like to make it out off wood if that would be strong enough thanks .

Its real easy to do. As long as youve got a saw, some screws and a screw gun.

Here is mine, I bought it off the 'net for $50. I have since painted it, caster wheels would be nice...-

Crumb, it's easy. Take an automotive engine stand and bolt on what you need for your outboard. When you're done, you've got both.

Mine is just a simple A frame design. 4x4 posts as the legs, with a 2x8 (or 10?) in the middle.

Steel is the way to go. Just don't break off one of the casters.

Best bang for the buck is the 4 leg engine stand as mentioned. just turn the mount post around backwards and it will even simulate the angle of the transom. 50.00 and your done.
